4th of July firework shows

Fourth of July is celebrated to mark the declaration of independence by the colonists from Great Britain. The Congress passed a declaration declaring the independence.

Thomas Jefferson then wrote the declaration of independence which was later adopted initially as rough draft on the July2nd 1776 and the later on it was finalized and signed on the Fourth of July as the declaration of Independence. That is the reason why we celebrate the Fourth of July as Independence day.

Independence Day events happen in all the states and in various towns. For detailed information I will suggest that you check in the local newspapers though there are several big ticket items which are planned in some big cities.

Here is my listing

Disney –MGM Studios 4th of July firework show

Disney Fourth July fireworks are simply great and you will need to book tickets in advanace to be there for the show. It is known as the Concert in the Sky.

There will be another major event at the Disney theme park in Orlando.

Fireworks shows in Los AngelesCounty are happening at

Hollywood bowl, Artesia Community park, Burbank, Culver City. A big one happens in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Macy’s 4th of July (Fourth of July fireworks are simply the best)

Pops Concert at the Colonade at Boston

2009 will have the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular and this will be broadcast live on the TV too.

New London Connecticut has the Sailfest

Sate College, PA

WashingtonDC has the Welcome America show.

Macys Fourth July fireworks is again one of the top ten rated fireworks show in the country.

The first fireworks show as organized in 1958. Each year the pyrotechnics grow bigger and there are major events that are planned. The show usually last about 20-25 minutes and it usually starts after 9p.m.

The fireworks are synchronized with the patriotic songs. The best view will depend on where the location of the fireworks show is. If it on the East River side then make sure that you can reach the FDR drive and if it on the Hudson river which will be in the 2009 July fourth celebrations then the best places are the New Jersey water front

Make sure that you start reaching early to get the best spot as well as the roads will be blocked at major places so it is always better to mark your places and then get the spot. It can get quite rush and hence it is better to get ready to navigate the crowds.

Another great way is to use the boats on the Hudson River but get the booking early else you will not be on the boat.
