How bankruptcy affects your checking accounts

Once you declare bankruptcy your whole life can literally be engulfed in a
major spiral involving the banks and the creditors as well as the bank
accounts. The reason being that in most cases you will be owing money to some
banks and these banks will place you on the Chexsystems foe the dues that you
owe.

Apart form that your credit score will be virtually zero and you will have
trouble getting any sort of loan for car or home and even leasing an
apartment can be very difficult. That said you will have to be careful and gradually build your credit history step by step. This is not easy but again the first step can be easily taken.

The first step that you need to take is to open up a bankruptcy checking
account. After filing for bankruptcy there are two options to open up a
checking account and these checking accounts can be opened up in two ways.

I would strongly suggest that even before filing the bankruptcy open up a
checking account at a local bank or a credit union. Make sure that you do
not have any money owed to these banks when you file for the bankruptcy
that way you will be able to retain this bank account. The other method is
to search again for banks that have no Chexsystems involved.

Most banks while trying to open up your checking accounts will check your
credit history and once it turns out that you have filed for the bankruptcy
will make sure that you they report you to the Chexsystems. Chexsystems
is like the credit report for the banking systems and that will mean that
if you go to any bank to open a checking account they will ask you about the
Chexsystems notes and will turn you down

That is where you need to know about the second checking accounts. These
second chance checking accounts will help you build create a checking without
any background checks done and no questions asked. They will simply
give an account number, routing number and also a prepaid visa debit card.
Generally these second chance checking accounts do not have any facility for
writing checks but this is a small price to pay as you now know that
at least you have the ability to use the card and make payments via the card
as opposed to having to cash in your paycheck to pay all your bills and in
general any money anywhere even in the retail shops.

A lot of banks that were initially using the Chexsystems have now not been
using the Chexsystems and that has turned out to be a positive thing as the
n you can easily go to some of the very reputed banks and make sure that you
get the bankruptcy checking accounts.

I liked this article. Personally, I was able to apply with Probity Financial Services and received a FDIC insured checking account with great features and customer service.
