In both the upper eyelid surgery and the lower eyelid surgery the incision is made in the natural folds and creases so that the incision marks and not visible. After the surgery generally it will take about two weeks to heal as well as it is imperative that you avoid the dryness of the area with some cream and also avoid the dryness of the eyes.
This eyelid surgery is performed under the local anesthesia and hence you will be able to move immediately after the surgery. However in a lot of cases the surgeons also use the general anesthesia. In most cases patients after the age of 35 need this surgery and in some cases another operation may be needed after 8-10 years.
As far as the costs go the eyelid surgery costs or the Blepharoplasty costs will be about 3000 – 4000 dollars. Now the question whether you will be able to get financing for eyelid surgery even if you have bad credit. Yes generally the surgeons office will be able to get in touch with some financing company which can easily finance your. They will charge more if you have a bad credit score. Also make sure that you check with insurance companies though in general insurance companies will finance the surgery as this is generally done for pure cosmetic reasons.

This is a great page for prospective patients to understand the basic principles of blepharoplasty either for aging eyelids or for the young Asian patient, or for both. I think for aging eyelids whether for Asian patients or not, I am more in favor of adding some volume (fat transfer) back to the eyes. For young Asian patients, the full-incision method for double eyelid surgery can be a good method for long-term results. The aging Asian eyelid is a much more complicated subject, which I have lectured on that involves deciding between an Asian patient who has no previous crease (in which case I either just add fat to the upper eyelid or make a formal crease), a patient who already has a crease (then the decision is similar but not identical to a Western patient, the difference being careful not to make the crease too high if you are just going to remove skin), and the patient who already had a previous surgical crease made in the past (the fear is that it was done during a time of Westernization and it was too high and now only recently sagged, making skin incision alone a bit dangerous because it can unmask the previously high crease).
