I can safely confess that when I bought my first lcd TV all I can think of was those stylish advertisement that they show on television with the couple sitting on a beige or white sofa munching popcorn and cuddling away watching the TV.  

That image still lingers in my mind but the big decision came in as to where will you put in the TV. Do we want floor stand or a wall mount. Even in that a multitude of options where thrown in like how much of the tilt level do we want? DO we want an extendable dual arm length articulating TV wall mount? My wife wanted a floor stand with wheels so that we can easily move the TV to another room if we wanted. Someone suggested mounting the TV above the fireplace. I was worried that the TV plastic will melt with heat. Well that is not true but you can understand how it happens with the first lcd. Finally we discovered an ideal corned for the TV to be mounted.

Here are some things that we were able to find out and I will share these with you in case you are planning the same thing. These are also known as the cantilever TV mounts or the swivel brackets or even the articulating brackets. There is no difference between these. This I found out later after making several rounds to the local electronics shops and talking to the electrician.  

Now the best TV mounts for the corner are the single are or the dual arm articulating TV mounts. The simple flush TV mounts will not work as they can just tilt a little and you will not be able to view the TV t from any angle. The single arm or the dual arm is also known as the articulating TV wall mounts. You safely tuck the TV into the corner when not viewing as these arms are retractable and they are then just only 3 inches away form the wall. Whenever you want the watch the LCD TV then you can just have the arm extended and the swivel the TV to a degree that you can easily watch the TV from any part of the living room or the bed room with a correct angle. In most cases the arm can extend to a length of about 15 inches.

Another thing of note is that before buying a wall mount check at the back of your lcd TV as to what kind of mount is required 4 holes are there or the six holes are there. Then make sure that you know what the VESA specifications are. In general a lot of shops will talk about the VESA numbers and if you do not know one then you are not going to buy imperfect TV bracket.  

Buying is never easy but believe me the decision as to where to mount the new lcd TV is the toughest with everyone at home having their own opinion.
