The gifts that you can actually give to your new boyfriend depend on how long you two have been dating.

Now if you are heading towards a serious relationship and you are in that stage that you can safely assume that the relationship will go long terms try to be a notch higher then the things I described above and try to spend some more money and go for things like cologne gift sets, higher end branded, take him out to a fancy restaurant or a try a branded watch.

The other thing that will fit the bill is try getting a few gifts for his family on occasions like the Christmas or even Valentines day. You can convince him to buy little more expensive electronic items and then you can either pay the full amount or offer to share the costs!

If you are in the initial stages of the relationship (2-4 months), don't try to overdo anything for any occasion, personal or expensive nor pretend that way, just keep the things very simple. You have a long ways to going terms of maturing of the relationship.

If this is your first boyfriend then the best gifts for new boyfriend will be to pick up something like - clothes for example sweaters or a nice shirt or a Tee or for a movie buff a DVD set of his favorite movie or TV shows, almost anyone's favorite and the safest bet is a gift card to his favorite store. Try a wallet or filing rack or a tie rack or even a simple mobile phone or even noise canceling earphones would do.

First year-Personalized Tee, a stuffed animal, Digital photo frame, a set of love coupons towards the end of the first year.

Second year- Got special homemade gift basket for his birthday, a subscription to the beer of the month club and a new high end Cellphone with subscription. A special gift I created was a sweetheart's message in a bottle.

Third year - Who cares about occasions anymore! Anything we think is good for the other we buy at the spur of the moment for example a nice seat covers for his car, a special perfume for his car, a high end engraved bracelet and lots of other stuff.
